All along, when users register for a Google account or add a verified mobile phone number after registration, the SMS verification code received by the mobile phone is the official Google verification code. Google is directly displayed in the SMS, and the verification code starts with G-, such as “G-123456”.
However, recently, when I verified my mobile phone number, I received a verification code from Yixin, which did not have the words Google and did not start with ”G-“.
At present, there is relatively little relevant information on the network. It is speculated that Yixin may be a third-party SMS service provider or a virtual operator that provides SMS verification services for enterprises. Since Google's services in China may be restricted, there is a high probability that official text messages will not be delivered to the user's mobile phone. Therefore, Google's SMS verification needs to be processed through local partners, just like Yixin's SMS verification service.
